The third edition of the Healthy Habits campaign8 min. de citit

2025 began with a strong commitment to Healthy Habits, Balance, and Responsibility. Healthy Habits, the sustainability and social responsibility campaign launched in 2023 by Ubitech Construcții, is now in its third edition and aims to continue inspiring, mobilizing, and transforming everyday habits into actions with real impact.

This year’s edition of the campaign kicked off by congratulating the Healthy Habits ambassadors for their outstanding achievements in 2024, as well as a new set of goals that reflect the growing energy and cohesion of our community.

Ubitech team members are ready and eager to bring to the forefront new actions that positively impact our environment and our communities, as well as habits that improve quality of life. In doing so, they turn intentions into actions and actions into change for a better future.

The race for a sustainable future has started

At the beginning of March 2025, 10 members of the Ubitech team happily responded to the invitation of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania (CCIFER) to participate in #CCIFIChallenge25, a global initiative launched by CCI France International, where business communities from around the world took part in an exciting sporting experience to benefit health and community.

The competition took place from March 31 to April 27, 2025, to promote a healthy lifestyle and support two causes: Solar Impulse, an initiative focused on environmental protection solutions, and CCIFER Forest, a comprehensive social responsibility program in which teams registered for the competition will participate.

Spring Trinket Market for a noble cause

As empathy and generosity can only write a beautiful story about healthy habits, a Spring Trinket Market was organized at Ubitech headquarters, dedicated to supporting the Touched Romania Association, an NGO that fights to improve the lives of children and mothers in need.

During the event, more than 300 spring trinkets passionately created by some of the Ubitech team members and the Touched Romania Association were exhibited. In addition, the Touched Romania Association lovingly prepared a variety of delicious cakes, which perfectly complemented the experience of this special event. The joy of giving transformed into real support, and the event generated 7,500 lei for the Touched Romania Association.

Good is built together.

Blind Date with a Book, an event about books, connections, and healthy habits

On National Reading Day, Blind Date with a Book, a special event organized at Ubitech headquarters, brought team members together in a surprising experience: carefully chosen books, mysterious messages, and the desire to discover new stories.

Participants chose their books for the event solely based on captivating descriptions written by other avid readers. Each book was a surprise, and the excitement of discovery was in full flow.

Ubitech team members are people with a passion for words who not only read but also write books worth discovering! Detective on Occasion, a suspenseful and humorous detective novel written by Laura, Team Leader in the Administration and Logistics department, was entered in the Blind Date with a Book event. A year after this book was published, Laura also released the Without Limits novel, which goes beyond the boundaries of imagination, set after the Second World War.

Reading, a healthy habit for the mind

In celebration of National Reading Day, we were thrilled to share with our online friends the top most active Bookster readers on the Ubitech team in 2024.

Carmen, Anca, Lucian, Laura, and Oana take the top 5 spots in this ranking, having borrowed no less than 118 books last year. The Ubitech team borrowed more than 250 books during the previous year, and in the last 5 years, the number has exceeded 1,000.

Their top favorites include “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and “Mindreader” by David J. Lieberman. Subscribing to Bookster, one of Ubitech’s team banners, brings us closer to knowledge and development.

Together, we are building a greener and more sustainable world

At the beginning of April, we planted new good deeds in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania (CCIFER) in Lipănești Commune, Prahova County. For more than four years, the CCIFER Forest has continued to expand and now counts over 23,000 acacia trees.

In this context, we shared with our online friends the joy of participating in this initiative, confident that through involvement and responsibility, we can work together to create a greener and more sustainable world.

Healthy choices are the best victories

In May, several members of the Ubitech team participated in the Bucharest Half Marathon, a sports competition that provided moments of joy, energy, and enthusiasm.

Additionally, Iulian Nedelcu, an ambassador for the UBI Healthy Bikes campaign, participated in the 10km race and finished 1st in the 45-54 age category and 12th overall.

On this occasion, we congratulated all those who represented us at the event, who inspired us with their example and reminded us of the importance of daily choices in maintaining our balance and energy.

Exceptional results achieved by Iulian Nedelcu, ambassador of the Healthy Habits campaign

During April and May, Iulian Nedelcu, ambassador of our Healthy Habits campaign, proved that an active lifestyle is not about age but about willpower and discipline. He made it to the podium in three major urban running and trail running competitions:

1st place in the 45-54 age category and 12th place overall in the 10km race at the Bucharest Half Marathon, which he covered in just 35 minutes and 27 seconds;

2nd place in the 45-49 years category and 10th place overall in the Bucharest International Half Marathon & 10K by Constantina Diță, where she ran the 10 km in 36 minutes;

2nd place in the 40-49 years category and 4th place overall at the Băneasa Forest Run, the biggest trail running event in Bucharest, where he finished the 11 km race in 40 minutes and 54 seconds.

Iulian Nedelcu’s results are clear proof that healthy habits build success.

Vitality on the Bucharest Marathon route

In mid-October, our team had another burst of energy as 9 colleagues took part in the 2025 Bucharest Marathon, the largest running event in Romania and an actual test of limits for thousands of enthusiasts.

In the 42 km relay race, Narcis, Teodora, Alex, and Gabriel demonstrated what precise synchronization and great teamwork really mean. Marian kept the momentum going in the 10 km race, and four more colleagues joined the 2.5 km race, running with big smiles and a healthy dose of sportsmanship.

Our colleagues’ participation in this marathon not only inspires us, but also perfectly reinforces the message of our campaign: healthy habits are built together.

Step by step, we are contributing to a greener and more responsible future

In the spirit of the Healthy Habits campaign, several colleagues joined a new tree-planting initiative organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania (CCIFER) in the commune of Lipănești, Prahova County. After more than four years of continuous involvement, the CCIFER Forest now has over 27,000 acacia trees.

We are grateful that, by planting trees, we’ve been able to contribute to a greener future, which is proof that simple actions, repeated consistently, can make a real difference. Every acacia tree planted is another step toward a cleaner environment and a healthier future.

A healthy lifestyle with the help of the Stepathon Leviatan Steps Challenge

Throughout October, our colleagues demonstrated once again how important it is to exercise with joy. No fewer than 118 employees signed up for the internal Stepathon – Leviatan Steps Challenge competition and turned every day into an opportunity to take an extra step towards better health.

Divided into six teams, the participants took on the challenge with energy and good cheer, supporting each other and maintaining a healthy dose of competition. Their dynamism and enthusiasm were reflected in the final results, with the top three teams racking up over 16 million steps.

The winning team finished the competition with 6,350,449 steps, followed by the second-place team with 5,603,949 steps and the third-place team with 4,922,474 steps. This was a remarkable achievement, which earned them well-deserved congratulations and recognition for their determination.

Open your HeART or art as a form of community involvement

Caring for others can take many forms, including through art. One such example is our colleagues’ participation in the third edition of the Open Your HeART for HOSPICE charity event, organized at The Villa.

Together with their children and artists such as Anca Dușe, Contemporia, Loretta Lörincz Băluță, Zestal, MAUVERIN, O’DOR, Rozana Mihalache, Bob de Suflet, and Ingrid Nemțanu, our colleagues demonstrated that art can become a fundamental tool for supporting those in need.

In an atmosphere marked by creativity and involvement, 125 original works were exhibited and auctioned, raising a total of 32,330 lei, which was donated to HOSPICE Casa Speranței. The funds raised directly support the medical services offered to the foundation’s patients, equivalent to 13 days of hospitalization, 20 home visits, or 29 medical consultations.

The initiative demonstrates how involvement and creativity can have a concrete impact in supporting HOSPICE Casa Speranței patients.

Volunteering in support of HOSPICE Casa Speranței

In December, we continued to support initiatives that foster active involvement, empathy, and community care. One such example is the participation of several colleagues from our team in the Christmas party dedicated to children in the care of HOSPICE Casa Speranței.

Volunteering activities included preparing gifts, helping to organize transportation for the children to and from the party location, and decorating the space to recreate the atmosphere of the winter holidays as faithfully as possible.

Our colleagues’ involvement in this project naturally complements the message of our Healthy Habits campaign, demonstrating that the habits that really matter are built through concrete actions, taken and carried out together.

Stay tuned! We will soon be promoting new healthy habits.
