The project includes site organization works, earthworks, diversion of utility networks and setting up of temporary access routes, construction of a watertight enclosure of molded walls, retaining walls made of drilled piles, as well as preliminary works for the extension of site organization in the second stage of the project, scheduled to be put out to tender, for the actual construction of the hospital.
The Cluj Regional Emergency Hospital will become the primary care center for critical patients and complex cases in the North-West Region of our country. The hospital will offer a full range of medical services and have a capacity of 849 beds. These include 336 beds for surgical care, 343 beds for medical care, 64 beds for pediatrics and obstetrics-gynecology, 82 beds for intensive care (of which 10 are for pediatric intensive care), and specialized facilities for neonatal intensive care and the burns unit. The hospital will also include a dedicated cardiology center, an integrated operating theatre with 22 operating theatres, and will provide day hospital and day surgery services.
On completion, the hospital will have a total built-up area of 184,013 sqm, of which 176,638 sqm is for the main building, structured on 8 levels, B + G + 5E + Eth, helipad. The surface of the land on which the future hospital will be built is 143,064 sqm.
